    Location: Bay Area, California

    Mare Island Brewing Co., a fast-growing craft brewery founded in 2014 on Mare Island in Vallejo, operates three taprooms and self-distributes throughout the Bay Area. We are dedicated to fostering a culture of passion, creativity, and camaraderie while honoring the history of the Mare Island Naval Shipyard.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a highly motivated, charismatic, and results-driven Brand Ambassador to expand Mare Island Brewing Co.'s brand awareness in the Bay Area. The ideal candidate is passionate about craft beer, excels at engaging with people, and enjoys representing a brand in various on-premise and off-premise settings. This position starts as part-time with the ability to expand into a full-time position.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Sampling Demos (8x/month): Conduct sampling events at key retail accounts, engaging with customers and sharing the brand story while driving sales. Shifts are 3–6 hours, with an incentive kicker based on demo sales.
    • Tap Takeovers (2x/month): Represent Mare Island Brewing Co. at on-premise feature nights, interacting with customers and promoting the brand (3–4-hour shifts).
    • Staff Training (4x/month): Educate on-premise and off-premise account staff about our products through formal and informal training sessions, often in conjunction with sampling or tap takeovers.
    • Festivals : Assist as the second person at beer festivals, engaging with attendees and pouring beer while supporting the sales team or event lead.

    Qualifications

    • 21+ years of age.
    • Outgoing personality with strong knowledge of craft beer and the ability to engage strangers.
    • Self-motivated with excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Reliable transportation to travel to events and accounts.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
    • Previous experience a plus.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Hourly Rate: $25–$35 (including incentives).
