    The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for providing excellent service to guests during breakfast hours. This position ensures that guests experience a welcoming, enjoyable, and efficient breakfast service while maintaining a clean and organized breakfast area. The Breakfast Attendant plays a key role in creating a positive and memorable first impression for guests at the start of their day. Responsibilities: Guest Service: • Greet guests promptly and warmly as they enter the breakfast area. • Assist guests with seating, provide menu or buffet instructions, and answer any questions about breakfast offerings. • Ensure guests' needs are met promptly and efficiently, offering assistance with food choices or special requests. • Maintain a polite, friendly, and professional demeanor at all times. Setup and Preparation: • Set up the breakfast buffet or service stations, ensuring that all food items, utensils, condiments, and beverages are replenished as needed. • Ensure all food and beverages are presented attractively, safely, and at the correct temperature. • Prepare hot or cold food items as required, ensuring proper hygiene standards. • Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, including wiping down tables, chairs, and food stations throughout the shift. Guest Satisfaction: • Monitor guest satisfaction by checking in periodically and ensuring that all guests are satisfied with their experience. • Address any guest concerns or complaints immediately and professionally, escalating to management if necessary. • Assist with clearing plates, cups, and utensils promptly, while maintaining a tidy dining area. Health & Safety Compliance: • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and waste disposal procedures. • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and food prep areas, adhering to hygiene standards. Closing Duties: • Assist in breaking down and cleaning the breakfast area at the end of service. • Ensure all food items are properly stored or disposed of, and that kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately. • Prepare the breakfast area for the next day’s service. Team Collaboration: • Work closely with kitchen and other restaurant staff to ensure smooth service during breakfast hours. • Communicate effectively with coworkers and management to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently. • Attend training sessions and team meetings as required. Qualifications: • Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role preferred. • Excellent customer service and communication skills. • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization. • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. • Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift and carry trays, food, and other items up to 25 lbs. • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment. • Occasionally bending, stooping, and reaching. Compensation: $11 - $13 hourly
