    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Bridge Design CADD Technician IV to be based in Murray, Ut. to work on exciting local, regional, and national projects.

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff.

    • Primary focus is Civil Engineering CADD for bridges and other structural projects.

    • Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety, and/or code requirements.

    • Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.

    • General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.

    • Performs routine duties; viewed as fully competent within limits of experience.

    • Performs complex CADD assignments and coordinates CADD drawing production in support of the CADD manager.

    • Performs advanced applications, scale and edit assignments involving the use of computer aided design and drafting equipment and other graphics software (e.g. CADD software) to achieve set results and deadlines.

    • Digitize or trace sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.

    • Decisions made with general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines.

    • Responsible for setting own project deadlines.

    • Understands the implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.

    • May lead less experienced drafters.

    Minimum Requirements :

    • Bachelors Degree + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency and/or education..

    • Ability to pass MVR check + traditional background screening process.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated expertise using CADD software. (MicroStation, AutoCAD).

    • 10+ years of bridge design experience with Bentley Microstation & previously noted CADD design software tools.

    • Bentley Openroads Experience Preferred

    • Working knowledge of OpenBridge Modeler.

    • Utah DOT structural detailing experience.

    • Offered rate of compensation (Salt Lake City, Utah area only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $80,000.00-$125,000.00.
