    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Bridge Design Engineer. AECOM’s Tampa office is renowned for its accomplished and nationally recognized bridge design team. We are responsible for a wide variety of bridge and transportation-related structures, ranging from conventional overpasses and complex interchanges to signature structures, including segmental, extradosed, and cable-stay bridges.

    Responsibilities:

    • Preparing and checking design calculations for bridges and other transportation-related structures
    • Computer modeling of complex structures
    • Plans review and checking
    • Preparation of reports and specifications
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum:

    • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering focus
    • 6 years of bridge design experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • Licensed Professional Engineer
    • Experience and proficiency with MicroStation, Microsoft Office Software, Mathcad, and other general software
    • Experience with Bentley’s LEAP Bridge Concrete software and BSI’s FB-MultiPier
    • Detail design oriented and experience and proficiency in structural analysis, steel and concrete design
    • Experience and proficiency in analytical, technical skills, and communication (oral and written) skills

    Preferred:

    • Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering focus
    • Experience with structural analysis software packages including Midas and Bentley’s RM Bridge
    • Experience on Florida DOT projects
    • Experience working in a team environment
    • Communication skills including presentation and written technical experience
