The Aquatics Manager at British Swim School of SLC will gain fulfillment through leading our mission “To ensure that every person, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to become a safe and happy swimmer.” In this position, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, coaching, developing and retaining a dynamic swim instructor team. This will result in the retention, success, and positive customer experience of our students and families in the British Swim School Aquatics Program. A passion and love of the water and working with children is a must!
This is a part-time job (up to 30 hours/week) with the ability to become full-time as operations scale. You will need to work a flexible schedule on weekday afternoons / evenings and part-day weekends across our two locations in the Salt Lake Valley.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Hire, supervise, support, train, coach, develop and retain a dynamic team of swim instructors
Identify areas of opportunity, develop and execute action plans to address challenges, and improve results in customer retention, revenue, and expense containment
Conduct training, reviews, recognition, and individual development of aquatics staff
Manage underperforming aquatics associates utilizing personal improvement plans, coaching and disciplinary tools
Manage staff schedule of aquatics team including time off requests and call-outs
Conduct classes when needed
Communicate with customers and resolve any issues in a timely manner
Ensure high lesson quality, proper supplies inventory, and safety standards at the pool
Attend appropriate ongoing training locally and with British Swim School corporate
Other responsibilities created in collaboration with the Franchise Business Owner
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of customer service and/or management experience
Experience in swimming or fitness teaching / management is preferred. A specialist aquatics qualification is desirable, but not required.
Lifeguard & CPR/First Aid Certifications (may be obtained during training)
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
