We are seeking an experienced Broadcast Technician to join our team. This is a part time position in the Ventura County area. Our studio is known for its innovative approach to broadcasting, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for creating high-quality content. In this role, you will be working at a local television studio's broadcasting of government meetings and ensuring proper upkeep of broadcast equipment and systems. Candidate should be experienced using video switchers, camera controls, on air graphics, audio and A/V systems. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our broadcast studio, from setting up equipment to troubleshooting technical issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Join us at Pegasus Studios and be part of a creative team dedicated to delivering top-notch broadcasts. Schedule: We are looking for someone to work 6-10 shifts per month. Most productions take place Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening. There are occasional shifts on Thursday and Friday. Productions run from 4 to 8 hours on average. Overtime is paid for any shift going over 8 hours. Most productions start around 3 pm and end around 9 pm but can and will go later. Must be able to commute to the following locations: Camarillo, Moorpark and Agoura Hills. Record broadcast programs, operate on-air CG graphics, and program television replays while adhering to schedules • Technical Support: Provide timely equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs to ensure uninterrupted broadcasts • Quality Assurance: Maintain equipment records, track issues, and uphold quality control standards for seamless broadcasting • Collaboration: Thrive in a team-oriented environment, collaborating effectively with colleagues to further enhance the broadcast experience for staff members • Communication: Demonstrate clear and concise communication skills with staff, maintaining a professional work environment and adhering to a business casual dress cod Qualifications: • Previous experience in broadcasting, live streaming audio/visual, is essential • Experience with or familiarity with the workings of local City, County and State government public meeting workflows and processes • Experience with broadcast equipment such as Tricaster, Ross Carbonate, Ross eXpression, TelVue, Blackmagic ATEM, Cablecast, Leightronix, Granicus, and Zoom • Experience in live events, videography and web streaming • Professionalism, solid transportation, punctuality, and a commitment to scheduled dates are non-negotiable attributes Compensation: $25 -$ 30 hourly
