Job Description

Broadleaf is looking for experienced senior software engineers with a passion for technology and strong problem-solving skills to join our development team. At Broadleaf you will have the opportunity to use the latest technologies in eCommerce to make an impact with our Microservices platform. We are looking for developers with:

• 2-6+ years of experience in web development (back-end or full-stack)
• Fluent in Java and use of the Spring Framework
• Demonstrated experience implementing RESTful APIs
• Demonstrated experience with relational databases
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in key roles within high performing teams
• Experience designing complex systems or sub-systems
• Drive to write clean, optimized code
• Proactive and self-motivated

Experience in these areas is a plus:

• System integrations, integration patterns, and asynchronous messaging
• Java-based commerce frameworks (e.g. Broadleaf, ATG, Hybris, ElasticPath, etc.)
• Cloud development: Docker, Kubernetes, and related Cloud DevOps and infrastructure skills
• Search platforms such as Solr, Elasticsearch, or Endeca
• Integrations to payment gateways, tax providers, CDNs, logistics and fulfillment providers, ERP, CRM, OMS
• Microservices architecture and patterns
• Experience in performance analysis and tuning
• JavaScript and React

What will you do at Broadleaf?

• Collaborate within small teams focused on building and improving the Broadleaf platform which is a collection of over 30  MicroServices written with Java and SpringBoot with supporting applications written in React and NextJs
• Assist clients, partners, and other Broadleaf developers with successful implementations of the framework
• Build a breadth of experience in the technologies used by Broadleaf and Broadleaf clients while developing depth in one or more technologies and business domains
• Utilize Java, Spring Framework, JPA/Spring Data, Spring Cloud Stream, JavaScript, React.js, Solr, Docker, and Kafka to solve complex problems
