    GENERAL SUMMARY:

    A unique opportunity exists to join a team in creating a vibrant senior learning community on the campus of Purchase College, State University of New York. The residents of this university-based retirement community will be able to enjoy the many amenities of the college including the renowned Neuberger Museum of Art, the Performing Arts Center, the academic and athletic facilities, and the park-like campus. They will be able to enjoy all these benefits while living in a village designed specifically for their interests and needs. As part of the Purchase College community, Broadview residents will enjoy both formal and informal programming and collaborative opportunities designed to promote intergenerational engagement with members of the college community, ranging from classes and mentoring to providing employment opportunities for students. Broadview will offer the full continuum of services, inclusive of Independent Living, Assisted Living, Enhanced Assisted Living, and Memory Care. The community is slated to open to residents in the third quarter of 2023.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Information Technology (IT) Coordinator’s responsibility is to support the employees and residents on a full range of IT needs. The IT Coordinator is responsible for supporting the community's residential and employee network, computer hardware and software and technology systems. The IT Coordinator will travel to the residents’ home or team member’s office/station to deliver, integrate, network, and/or repair consumer electronic devices as well as to provide technical advice and assistance. The IT Coordinator will facilitate a seamless Resident and Team Member experience by providing lifestyle recommendations regarding products, technical advice, service, and content solutions. Installation ranges from basic set up and delivery, repair of consumer’s computer, iPad, to complex delivery, network setup, assistance of home entertainment products and computer support. This community strives to be a senior living leader in technology. The IT Coordinator will provide analysis, input, and key support for the development of this goal. This position does not have any direct reports.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work throughout the community troubleshooting and provide services utilizing multiple IT applications and computer devices.

    • Support and maintain all Microsoft and Apple desktop systems.

    • Provide a strong interface with residents and support services for residents.

    • Provide support for team members IT needs.

    • Helps drive a positive customer experience by building relationships, exhibiting empathy, and providing solutions for their needs.

    • Understanding residents and team members technology issues by asking probing questions, listening, asking clarifying questions, taking detailed notes, and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.

    • Monitoring work orders and providing accurate status updates to customers.

    • Providing data security for all stakeholders.

    • Serve as System Administrator for adding, removing, and maintaining users within Active Directory.

    • Serve as first tier support for network infrastructure and perform basic network trouble shooting.

    • Provide corporate telecommunications support including employee phone/fax and cell.

    • Provide resident and staff training on IT system operations including protocols for IT support calls.

    • Provide first line of support and collaborate with vendors on a variety of systems to include but limited to:

    o Residential & Commercial Connectivity and bandwidth

    o Corporate IT systems including Electronic Medical Records, payroll/time clock system.

    • Interact with vendors daily to ensure a prompt resolution of software, hardware, and related issues.

    • Order and keep inventory of employee computer and printers

    • Assist with budget planning as needed.

    • Establish and maintain corporate software licensing program to ensure compliance with manufacture End User License Agreement (EULA).

    • As a SalesFIRST organization, the key component to the success at LCS communities is the commitment of all employees to follow the SalesFIRST Guidelines. The expectation is that each and every employee at that community knows this importance of the sales process and will offer to enhance the resident and guest experience when called upon to support occupancy growth.

    • Partner with the Health and Wellness Navigator to ensure technology in “Transitions” are a top priority including transitions of phone, computer, TV, smart home devices, etc. Ensuring that patient records, EMR transition in conjunction with resident movement throughout the continuum of care.

    • The community operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and team members may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.

    • Team members are required to comply with LCS or department uniform and appearance standards, whichever is more specific.

    • Team members are expected to carry out all reasonable requests from Managers/Executive Director that the team member can perform.

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field with at least 1 years of network and IT experience, or

    • Associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field with at least 3years of network and IT experience, or

    • Related MIS, IT, IS, or system administration experience required with knowledge of Microsoft and Apple Operating Systems.

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Have good written and oral communication skills with the ability to interpret and understand technical requirements.

    • Excellent analytical skills. Able to trouble-shoot, resolve system problems and make recommendations to management to ensure system integrity.

    • Must possess the ability to always act professionally and tactfully.

    • Adaptable to changing priorities based on mission critical resolution of IT issues. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of holidays, nights, and weekends.

    • Must be capable of making mature judgments to function independently.

    • Must have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents and or personnel

    Salary Range for this opportunity is $35.00-$38.00
