Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of grilled and broiled dishes according to our high standards.
Ensure that all food items are prepared and presented in accordance with our recipes and quality standards.
Monitor and maintain the broiler/grill station to ensure it operates efficiently during service.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all orders are prepared in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill area, including proper handling and storage of food products.
Monitor food inventory and communicate any needs or discrepancies to the Executive Chef.
Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are adhered to in accordance with local regulations and hotel policies.
Assist in the development of new menu items and contribute ideas for special dishes or seasonal offerings.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to best practices in food preparation and safety.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Broiler/Grill Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
Strong knowledge of grilling and broiling techniques, including the ability to cook meats, poultry, and seafood to the desired temperature and texture.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
