    Job Description

    Bryant Miller Olive is Florida's largest and most sophisticated public finance law firm which experiences very low turnover of employees.  It is seeking a smart and hard-working Legal Assistant who is a team player and has lots of professional growth potential to help support the robust Public Finance/Municipal Bond practice group in our downtown Tampa office.  The long-term career opportunity is upward career mobility to Paralegal.  Salary will be commensurate with professional secretarial work experience.  While preferred, experience in public finance or as a Legal Assistant is not a job requirement. 

    Responsibilities include word processing and editing documents in Microsoft Word; compiling transcripts; filing IRS, UCC and Division of Bond Finance forms; assisting with RFPs; recording documents in various counties; copying, scanning and communicating with clients through telephone and e-mail; coordinating and scheduling meetings, calls and closings; entering time; and other duties as needed. 

    Qualifications include strong organizational skills, accurate and efficient straight typing and word processing skills with advanced knowledge in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, including table making skills; solid aptitude for numbers; ability to work independently or in a team-environment; excellent proof-reading and editing skills; effective and personable communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment; and high energy level and motivation.
