Leffler Consulting is seeking an experienced Budget Administrative Assistant to join our team in Arlington, VA. The position focuses on the resource planning, analysis, and execution of large space development, acquisition, and operation programs in support of the Agency Program Office, Directorate, and staff components. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
One of our clients in Arlington, VA needs a Budget Analyst for a permanent position.

Duties:
Provide administrative support to manage office tasks and processes and to document policies and procedures
Assist with scheduling meetings, including coordinating the necessary resources (i.e., conference rooms, VTC equipment, attendees, ensuring appropriate clearances, etc.)
Manage periodic financial execution reviews as the lead for building briefing books, ensuring proper classification, and pulling financial reports from the accounting system, and ensuring completion by the respective financial analysts
Collaborate with budget analysts and stakeholders to create, coordinate, and consolidate program review products and budgetary data for Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution cycles
Make decisions concerning the preparation and tracking of financial transactions supporting multiple programs, locations, and government customers
Manage office email on two IT systems, ensuring actions are addressed by the appropriate office members
Assist in the preparation of budget documents as surge support
Manage document archival system
Coordinate and manage office travel arrangements and claims
Required Education:
Associate degree (preferably in a financial or business discipline) or 2 years of additional years of experience
Experience performing analyses in various finance and accounting functions such as Budget Formulation, Budget Justification, Budget Execution and Tracking/Review
2 years of experience using a federal financial/accounting system, preferably with updating accounts, records, reports, and controls
Understanding of the Federal Planning, Programming, Budgeting & Execution Process (PPBE) process
Demonstrate professional skills, understanding of chain of command, dress and demeanor appropriate for supporting senior officials
Experience producing professional and accurate reports and documents
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
Ability to work independently and identify potentially more effective methods of operation
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline. Experience may be considered in place of a bachelor’s degree and determine the position.
Desired Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Experience using advanced features of MS Word and MS Excel
