    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Servtech, A Roeslein Company, is seeking a Building Assembler Technician II to join our team in our manufacturing facilities for the energy, mining, industrial power markets, and Integrated bio-energy solutions. This individual must have the desire to perform quality work safely, be detail-oriented, and have superior customer focus. This individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Operate mobile equipment including scissor lift, mobile deck crane, overhead cranes, and forklifts within the safety procedures and policies prescribed.
    • Assemble metal building structures on welded skids using various tools and equipment according to job specifications.
    • Read, interpret, and follow basic prints and other written instructions and/or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
    • Must be detail oriented.
    • Must follow training and company procedures.
    • Install siding and roof panels on structures.
    • Organize all materials and equipment.
    • Must follow good housekeeping practices.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. regularly is required. Must be able to stand/walk 90% of the time and sit 10% of the time. Requires the ability to work from heights while utilizing the appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for each situation.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT :

    Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

    KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

    • High school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred but not required
    • 1-2 years of manufacturing or construction experience is preferred, but not required
    • Ability to read prints and other technical documents is required.
    • Must be able to read a tape measure.
    • Experience with handheld tools (drill, circular saw) and assembling parts is preferred.
    • Must be able to perform job responsibilities at various heights.
    • Basic mechanical aptitude required.
    • Elevated level of energy and motivation.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education/Experience:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Two years in a clinical environment with data processing/specimen handling experience. A.S degree preferred or an equivalent demonstration of education and experience. Graduate of heath/ medical assistant or similar training program from an accredited institution where general laboratory technique is taught. Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for moderate complexity testing.

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information to one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    Math Ability:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must have the ability to perform all duties with accuracy and attention to detail

    Computer Skills:

    Ability to use Laboratory Information System in addition to various other software programs.
