Abacus is looking for a Burner Technician in the Salisbury, MD area.
Description: Diagnose and repair operational problems with boiler controls and boiler accessories. New machine installation, start-ups, repairs and selling service and service contracts.

The employee will have a strong understanding of Mechanical Equipment Applications, Ladder logic and electrical drawings.
Education/Experience: High school diploma and minimum of two years related experience and/or training or equivalent of education and experience. Complete knowledge of commercial and industrial boiler room units. Experience in Programmable Logic and Direct Digital Controls, combustion, combustion controls, emissions, efficiency testing, flame safe guard controls, HVACR systems, steam systems and electrical.
Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License, Apprentice or Journeyman License. First or Second Grade Engineer’s License optional.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
