    Job Description

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst with a strong focus on finance and data management to join our Project Management Office (PMO). In this role, you will play a critical part in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on the financials of one of our largest accounts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, finance, and delivery teams, to ensure accurate financial reporting, budget tracking, and data-driven decision-making.

    Financial Management:

    • Monitor and track project budgets, actuals, and forecasts for key accounts.
    • Develop and maintain financial reports to provide visibility into project financial performance.
    • Partner with project managers to analyze variances, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure adherence to budgets.
    • Support invoicing and billing processes by providing accurate financial data to the finance team.

    Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Create dashboards and visualizations to track KPIs related to project financials and performance metrics.
    • Conduct in-depth financial and operational analyses to support data-driven decision-making.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to improve project profitability and resource utilization.

    Collaboration & Communication:

    • Act as a liaison between the PMO, finance, and delivery teams to align financial tracking with project goals.
    • Facilitate regular meetings to review financial performance and address potential risks.
    • Document and communicate financial processes, ensuring clarity across teams.

    Process Improvement:

    • Identify inefficiencies in financial tracking and reporting processes and recommend enhancements.
    • Develop and implement best practices for financial oversight within the PMO.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
    • 3-5 years of experience in a finance or business analysis role, preferably in a project-driven environment.
    • Experience working with large-scale accounts or enterprise clients is a plus.
    • Strong understanding of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) and familiarity with financial systems/tools.
    • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI) is highly desirable.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
    • Knowledge of Dynamics 365 is required.

    The Compensation packages at Burwood Group are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including work location, skillset, experience, qualifications, market conditions, and other job-related reasons. The estimated salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000 . This role may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
