  • Responsibilities

    This is an experienced-level analyst who provides solutions to meet business needs. Positions in this class may have supervisory responsibilities or may direct the activities of technical personnel. With minimal supervision, performs assignments for business units involving application and project analysis, design, and support. This includes assisting in the evaluation and definition of business needs, creating business specifications, problem analysis, identification, and resolution, assisting with test plan setup and execution, and providing guidance and mentoring to team members. The position will work remotely and live within the state of Wisconsin. Responsibilities: • Provides expertise for the design and business feasibility of IT systems within a wide range of complexity levels. • Designs solutions to business needs by interviewing end users, creating business requirements, defining new process goals, and developing refined processes • Participates in the development of business cases for the implementation of technology solutions by analyzing and documenting benefits, costs, and risks • Assists in the evaluation of technology solutions by understanding the capabilities of the technology and its potential application • Incident and problem management resolution • Conduct advanced data analysis with the ability to query enterprise-scale databases and use data from associated systems to address problems. • Query large databases/source systems to test and explore defects. • Engage with technology areas and represent the business-on-business issues and requirements for large system projects. • Partner with teams to understand needs, gather and analyze requirements, perform data analysis, support change management, training, and testing efforts. • Gather and document business rules, functional requirements, and data definitions. • Collaborate to resolve inconsistencies and inadequacies in requirements. • Partner with technology areas to develop user acceptance testing and quality assurance test scenarios and cases, working to ensure data delivery meets our requirements. Collaborate with partners to produce and maintain accurate test documentation. • Contributes to team effort by providing guidance and mentoring team members, maintaining positive relationships with the end-user community, accomplishing assigned tasks as needed, and offering input to team guidelines and standards. • Communicate with senior management on status, risk mitigation, and product strategy. Qualifications: • 5+ years of previous Business Analyst experience. • Demonstrate experience developing relationships with internal and external partners. • Knowledge of business systems and how to apply them to achieve efficiencies in a business environment. • Experience with project management methodologies, practices, techniques, and tools. • Experience with systems development life cycle (SDLC). Compensation: $85,000-$100,000/yr based on experience
