    PCIS is a dynamic company seeking a Business Analyst to work under the guidance of the Quality Assurance Lead to provide Tier I support for Quality Assurance and Business Analysis. The Business Analyst will help provide full-cycle Production Support by utilizing their problem-solving skills to triage and complete impact analysis, write business requirements to guide the development team, design and execute test cases, and provide UAT guide to PCIS’s Client End-Users.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with the Product Support Team to clarify business requirements, map them to systems capabilities, and write business use cases for development
    • Develop test plans, test cases; perform gap analysis of test coverage
    • Analyze range of data processing problems
    • Understand user requirements and procedures
    • Work with developers to perform root-cause analysis and preliminary problem diagnosis
    • Identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies
    • Reproduce and confirm client software issues
    • Fully plan, coordinate and execute testing with external parties who interface with Hiring Company
    • Prioritize and track internal software issues; provide progress reports
    • Create or facilitate the writing of user documentation
    • Develop use cases, customer scenarios, and/or demos, and plan and coordinate testing of the newly developed or enhanced applications between the business and the development teams
    • Support the collection and reporting of software quality metrics
    • Participate in peer review of test deliverables
    • Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations

    Qualifications:

    • BS in MIS, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or 1-3 years related experience
    • Previous experience in IT, computer science, or other related fields
    • Ability to evaluate software systems
    • Experience with Query Language such as SQL
    • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
    • Background in IT-related development/maintenance projects – you will be partnering closely with technical teams and sharing and propagating the business requirements
    • Proficient computer skills and experience with computer programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel,Outlook)
    • Knowledge of automated test tools such as Selenium, Eclipse, Jenkins and Git Hub is highly desirable
    • Knowledge of JAMstack Ecosystem is a plus
    • Strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a software development environment
    • Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills including the ability to solve practical problems
    • Ability to read and interpret documents, computer systems, user documentation, business requirements and procedure manuals
    • Strong communication ability and be able to put ideas into a tangible form
    • Proven ability as a team member, builds trust among colleagues, is a continuous learner, and focuses on delivering capabilities for the customer.
    • Experience in P&C Insurance domain ideal.
    • Some travel may be intermittently required.
