Position Overview:
MDCPS seeks a Business Analyst/Technical Writer to document, analyze, and define user scenarios, workflows, and technical requirements for case management systems. The role involves producing high-quality documentation, improving system usability, and collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Storyboard user scenarios and define business outcomes for case management applications.
Create clear, detailed technical documentation, including workflows, use cases, user stories, and functional specifications.
Publish step-by-step process instructions to meet business objectives.
Define data requirements for clinical use cases and provide user-based feedback on the system’s usability.
Review and edit technical content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
Structure documentation for accessibility by end users, administrators, and developers.
Collaborate with IT teams, SMEs, and end-users to align business requirements with system functionalities.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
5+ years: Experience analyzing, documenting, and implementing software solutions.
5+ years: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
5+ years: Understanding of databases, APIs, and integration concepts.
3+ years: Cloud technologies, SaaS solutions, and data analysis.
Knowledge of SQL or similar query languages.
Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Child Welfare case management systems.
Human Services sector experience (e.g., Social Services, Crisis/Emergency Services).
Testing and implementation of hosted web applications.
