    SAS / MMIS / Functional Team Lead Consultant/Finance Business Analyst

    Onsite 100%, 6 months to start

    a Business Analyst to assist with implement small to large projects in Finance Division of Reimbursements business area.

    Objectives to Be Fulfilled by Candidate:
    The principal duties of this position are to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on the agency’s reporting (SAS) for FQHC, RHC and Home Health, the claims processing system (MMIS), and MARS reporting.

    Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Participate in succession planning and knowledge transfer with agency reimbursement staff to ensure all processes and procedures are documented and staff are trained.
    • Primarily responsible for the conversion of Managed Care claims data into a settlement compatible format utilizing SAS, Excel and any other available software. This includes quarterly as well as annual settlements.
    • Knowledge of MMIS including fund codes and provider contract rates.
    • Provide technical assistance related to cost reports for Home Health providers, division and agency staff.
    • Interacting with internal and external organizations (i.e. Providers, State and Federal government agencies, State providers and beneficiaries and other stakeholders).
    • Other project-related duties.

    REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
    • 5+ years’ experience in SAS.
    • 6+ years’ experience in SAP.
    • 6+ years’ experience in government IT projects as a business analyst or related duties
    • 6+ years claims payment and financial systems.
    • 6+ years Medicaid or healthcare experience.
    • 6+ years Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) experience.
    • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and policies.
    • Superb written and oral communications skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate to executive management, line management, project management, and team members.

    PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
    • General Subject Matter Expertise as it relates to Medicaid or other healthcare insurance experience (project or operations)
    • Microsoft Office Suite

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:
    Bachelor’s degree or 10 years’ experience in Medicaid or healthcare field.
