Job Title: Business Development Coordinator
Job Classification: Administrative, Full Time, Salaried (exempt)
Salary Range: From 60K Annually
Travel: Up to 20%, primarily in the Western United States
Reports to: The Director of Business Development
Role and Core Responsibilities: The Development Coordinator plays a crucial role in the organization’s growth and success. They conduct sales efforts and provide customer service support on behalf of ACZ with potential, new, and existing clientele. This position reports directly to the Business Development Director and will also support the Project Management team when necessary. This position will be based out of Steamboat Springs and is a great opportunity to advance within the company while helping to grow our business.
This is a customer facing position. ACZ’s Sales and Project Management group work on an 8am-5pm schedule. While flex time is available, our customer service goals, and client responsibilities require these groups to work primarily during operating business hours.
Job Duties
- Identify new markets and customer demands through research and analysis. Monitor industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities and collaborate with the Director of Business Development on sales strategies.
- Conduct market research for product delivery and profitability. Ensure competitive pricing through pricing research and analysis.
- Analyze the financial aspects of new method development.
- Develop price quotations for various analytical projects. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure partnerships and business growth.
- Build and maintain client relationships, coordinate meetings with both potential and current clients, and identify customer preferences to guide sales efforts.
- Respond to client inquiries via phone and online channels.
- Document activities to support metrics and key performance indicators.
- Create forecasting models to predict business trends and communicate findings with management.
- Conduct outreach to potential clients and businesses on behalf of ACZ.
- Provide professional and knowledgeable representation for ACZ at trade shows and conferences.
- Update ACZ’s marketing database with new client information.
- Collaborate on improving tools, features, and processes for better efficiency and customer experience.
- Travel up to 4-6 days per month within the US with the potential for international travel.
- Provide marketing support including digital communications and graphic design of marketing materials.
- Perform other duties as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a science-related field.
- One or more years of lab experience or equivalent sales experience, within the environmental industry preferred.
- Software skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and LIMS.

Physical Requirements :
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Handle and lift large tradeshow booth boxes weighing approximately 70 lbs.
