    Job Description: STEM Coding Lab is seeking a Business Development Director who cares about children and wants to make a positive difference in the lives of students living in underserved communities. STEM Coding Lab is a growing nonprofit headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, that provides educational opportunities to children that may not otherwise have access to computer science education.

    As Business Development Director, you will play a role in driving the organization's fundraising campaigns, communicating with key donors, securing corporate sponsorships, and maintaining a strong network of financial support through individual donors and foundation partnerships. Your strategic leadership and development expertise will be critical to our continued growth and success.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the organization's resource development strategy to raise funds for the organization, aligning it with the mission and goals. Support and participate in the building of the strategic direction of the organization.

    Relationship Management: Manage and cultivate relationships with key donors, sponsorships, stakeholders in support of the board chair and CEO. -

    Fundraising: Organize fundraising events and campaigns to generate funds including annual gala and quarterly events throughout the year to generate revenue and market our brand for increased awareness. Develop marketing materials with - CEO for a consistent brand campaign.

    Budget: Oversee the development and manage financial resources of the department supported by the VPO.

    Staff oversight- Train and support the Manager of Business Development as your direct report. Recruit, train, and support volunteers for fundraising initiatives and corporate partnerships.

    Grant oversight: Lead the strategy for grant applications, ensuring all deadlines, KPI, and reporting are coordinated in partnership with operations and programming teams.

    Collaboration: Work with SCL team leadership to integrate fundraising strategies with support of the operations and programming team.

    Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to continually assess resource development effectiveness and make data-informed decisions for future planning.

    Qualifications and Desired Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in (Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field)

    Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Business Development Director or in a similar role in fundraising.

    Experience (3-5 years) in managing and forging relationships with multiple donor sources.

    Outstanding leadership abilities and professionalism.

    Grant proposal development and/or knowledge required.

    Experience (3-5 years) planning, leading and managing development projects.

    Demonstrated success in nonprofit operations and program development, implementation, and evaluation.

    Experience working with Pittsburgh and National foundations, corporations, with a strong network in the non-profit space.

    Preferred state and federal government fundraising experience

    Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

    Exemplary in meeting goals and objectives timely.

    Problem- solving skills to identify and resolve challenges that might hinder the successful execution of resource development projects.

    Proficient in various software tools and platforms including Ex: google suite, monkey pod, adp, and project management tools are preferred or can be learned.

    Preferred understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory compliance guidelines affecting the organization's operations.

    Knowledge and experience in the K-8 education system, industry policies, etc. preferred.

    Additional Information:

    Work Environment: Office setting 4 days a week, with the opportunity for 1 day a week remote. Some travel required for events and donor meetings.

    Reports to: Reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

    Salary: Base Salary of $70,000 annually + incentive compensations tied to fundraising performance
