Our client is a leading and reputable general contracting company serving the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. The Business Development Manager will spearhead their efforts to identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities within designated industry segments. The role requires a proactive approach to researching and targeting potential clients, utilizing various communication channels, and representing the company at industry events.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough research to identify and target companies/organizations within specified industry segments as outlined in the business unit plan.
Initiate contact with potential clients through cold calling, qualifying leads, and scheduling appointments via telephone and electronic means.
Provide targeted prospects with relevant marketing materials and address specific interests identified during interactions.
Arrange and participate in personal sales calls with appropriate company representatives.
Assist in the preparation of qualifications statements and responses to proposals for specific projects.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with local and national professional, civic, and economic organizations to generate prospects.
Manage prospect files and electronic databases to ensure up-to-date information.
Support the Director of Business Development in the development and execution of a comprehensive public relations program.
Planning, coordination, execution and represent the company at trade shows, conventions, and professional meetings to expand the network and create opportunities.
Undertake additional directives from the Director of Business Development to contribute to securing new projects.
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in related fields such as architecture, engineering, or construction, and with a focus on sales, marketing, and/or business development.
Familiarity with the building design and/or construction industry preferred.
Deep understanding of the OEM processing and packaging equipment in the food and beverage industry is preferred.
Proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. is essential
