Business Development Manager - Custom HVAC Projects - Base Salary to 170k/year - Chicago, IL
Founded over 100 years ago, our client is a leading Manufacturer in Custom HVAC/air-rotation systems space. This company has grown 10x over the last 10 years and now is an exciting time to get into the company as their solutions are in very high demand across the country.
They are currently looking to hire a Business Development Manager to join their team. This position will entail handling 15 markets in the Americas focused on selling to end-users, engineering firms, mechanical contractors, general contractors as well as selling through distribution.
Responsibilities:
Call on Mechanical Contractors, General Contractors, Engineering firms and other relevant groups in 15 assigned markets to secure large HVAC custom projects with basis-of-design status
Conduct lunch-and-learn presentations for engineering firms to educate Engineers on products, capabilities, and ROI
Travel via plane to visit customers in territory (40% overnight travel)
Attend networking events and participate in industry organizations
Engage, communicate and present proposals to potential clients, and close the sale
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum)
5+ years selling custom HVAC solutions/projects (with deal sizes in the 300k up to multi-million dollar range)
Proven knowledge of HVAC terminology
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and experience with a CRM system (Salesforce preferred)
Must reside in relative proximity to an Airport
Compensation:
Base salary in the 110k - 170k/year range plus lucrative commission (capped at 1M)
