Job Overview:
The Government Business Development is a significant driver of company revenue and growth. As an experienced and dynamic sales professional, you’re responsible for leading and driving sales engagements. You’re motivated by the desire to solve EV infrastructure challenges. You’ll be responsible for meeting and exceeding your quota by crafting and implementing strategic public sector plans targeting Blink’s infrastructure and software solutions. This is a unique opportunity for a hunter with a go-getter mentality to win business at a national and global level.
Duties / Responsibilities:
As a Government Business Development Manager, you will drive and orchestrate Public Sector sales cycles and work with our internal and external teams to grow Blink’s market share in both fleet and public facing accounts.
Bring your experience and consultative selling skills to initiate long-standing relationships with prospective customers and executive sponsors.
Your focus will be to create and implement strategic account plans focused on attaining new state, local, and education contracts.
Understanding of the strategic competitive landscape and customer needs so you can effectively position Blink Charging
Develop a thorough understanding of Blink’s high-tech EV charging station product line and business models.
Develop tactics in coordination with the marketing team for growing awareness, interest, and demand for Blink’s products.
Develop and nurture relationships with key decision makers within existing and prospective customer accounts.
Communicate frequently across Blink’s business development, sales, and marketing teams to share best practices and lessons learned.
Forecasting of bookings, revenue, and opportunities in the assigned region
Routine reporting of competitor and market activity and how this may impact Blink.
Work with leadership to establish strategic direction to meet corporate sales goals and provide oversight for execution by sales team.
Direct the efforts of sales teams to penetrate markets with new product/service offerings.
Oversee formation of new business partnerships and negotiation of contracts.
Provide support to the management team, while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior.
Supports sales function change initiatives by providing client relationship support and assisting with sales calls to help drive business.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
Experience selling EV charging stations is a plus but not a requirement.
Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
Documented success at enterprise level
Thorough understanding of public sector contract vehicles, cooperatives, and IDIQ contracts
Experience growing a sales team including both recruiting and on-boarding.
Knowledge of managing a sales program that includes both direct and channel sales.
Understanding of CRM tools such as Salesforce
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Exceptional ability to connect with high level decision makers and convey confidence, sincerity, and credibility in representing Blink’s products and services.
Excellent time management skills, and work with high levels of autonomy and self-direction.
Highly competitive, ramp quickly, extremely adaptive, and pride yourself on exceeding production goals
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience selling into and working in Public Sector in State Local and Education (SLED) agencies.
Must reside in the eastern half of the US
