    Business Development Manager

    A leading provider of technical and facility solutions is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing team and drive new business within the commercial and industrial sectors. This role focuses on selling Onsite Facility Services, including Cleaning, Environmental, Parking, and Engineering solutions, across a defined Richmond, VA territory. The ideal candidate will create customized sales strategies, develop client relationships, and partner with internal teams to deliver value-driven solutions while cross-selling multiple service lines.

    Essential Functions

    • Identify, qualify, and close new commercial and industrial accounts within the assigned territory.
    • Develop tailored proposals and sales strategies to meet client needs.
    • Consistently prospect through cold calling, networking, and self-generated leads.
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Collaborate closely with operations and sales support teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
    • Present bundled service solutions (multi-line offerings) to prospective clients.
    • Forecast sales targets and report progress within a CRM.
    • Represent the organization at industry-related events and networking opportunities.

    Qualifications

    Education
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
    Experience
    • 1-5 years of experience in generating new business via cold calling and self-sourced leads.
    • Experience selling services or other intangible business offerings.
    • Proficiency in Salesforce or a similar CRM system.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Demonstrated ability to prospect via multiple channels (cold calling, networking, lead generation).
    • Skilled in creating and delivering sales proposals and client presentations.
    • Experience in forecasting sales targets and tracking activities in a CRM.
    • Comfortable presenting to groups and key decision-makers.
    Other Requirements
    • Knowledge of facility services, janitorial, or commercial real estate industries.
    • Familiarity with bundled service sales models.
    • Existing network of relevant sales contacts within the region.
    • Experience collaborating with operations and support teams.
    • Participation in industry organizations such as BOMA, CREW, etc.
