Our award-winning client is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team.Our client, a leading international legal services firm, is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join their dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the firm's growth by supporting major business development efforts across the Insurance and Business practice areas.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary BD lead for the Insurance and Labor/Employment Law practice areas, helping the firm secure high-value deals through compelling proposals and RFP responses.
- Manage the end-to-end process of major proposal and pitch creation, ensuring each submission meets deadlines and is customized to address client needs.
- Work closely with practice leaders, attorneys, and administrative teams to gather insights and data that inform business development strategies.
- Research companies, markets, and industries to craft strategic pitches and ensure the firm remains competitive.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance proposal processes, moving from "good to great" in both efficiency and quality of output.
Required Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of business development experience with a focus on proposal and pitch development. Experience in legal services/large law firms is highly preferred.
- A stable work history demonstrating reliability and commitment.
- Strong writing and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to analyze data and leverage CRM, experience management, and new technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Analytics, or a related field. An MBA, J.D., or Master's degree is a plus.
- Ability to work in Tampa, New Orleans, or Houston, with occasional travel (up to 20%) depending on location.
