    Strategic Business Development Manager

    One of our long-term clients, a leader in innovative heavy equipment solutions for a variety of industries, is seeking a Strategic Business Development Manager. This role involves executing tactical plans to expand sales of heavy equipment products to regional and national rental agencies and large national accounts. Key responsibilities include market evaluation, customer prospecting, pricing, product marketing, and customer development.

    Position Details:

    • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in heavy equipment sales or equipment rentals.
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
    • Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Travel: Requires at least 50% travel, including overnight trips.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Director of Sales in creating and executing effective tactical plans.
    • Develop and implement sales plans to grow sales at existing locations and expand to new locations.
    • Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and data-driven assessments.
    • Execute pricing, promotion, and product placement strategies.
    • Develop customer programs and negotiate key commercial terms.
    • Lead negotiations with private label accounts and national retail accounts.
    • Assist rental customers with business planning and development of forecasts.
    • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with regional and independent customers.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers at national retail accounts.
    • Participate in trade shows and develop materials for customers and internal stakeholders.
    • Provide accurate unit forecasting and planning to support SIOP process.
