    About the Position

    The Business Development Manager will be responsible for key account strategy implementation, territory management, new business development, and expanding industry relationships with IVD manufacturer accounts in the Northeast territory. This is a senior sales role that requires consultative selling with customers in the field of molecular and immunological testing; maximizing market share in existing and new accounts and sales opportunities by promoting product growth and providing development, management, and account direction for the assigned territory.

    About the Requirements

    • 5+ years of life science technical sales experience
    • Experience selling into assay development groups within IVD diagnostic manufacturer companies is a must
    • BS, MS, or PhD degree in Biology or Life Science discipline. Research background is highly preferred
    • Knowledge of Molecular Biology and/or NGS techniques is a plus
    • Ability to lead technical, consultative discussions with Directors of R&D and scientific end-users on diagnostic assay development
    • Demonstrated track record closing large complex deals with high-value accounts 
    • Hunter sales mentality
    • Seasoned sales rep with a high level of professionalism
    • Self-starter able to hit the ground running
    • Strategic, consultative, and relationship selling skills
    • Field travel up to 50% is required
