  • Responsibilities

    Strong, growing natural/organic perishable food company is seeking a strong Business Development Manager to grow their business with independent and national retailers in the Midwest area.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and supervise all aspects of customer development with existing customers
    • Identify and target all new business opportunities, overcome objections and close new business targets
    • Utilize internal and 3rd party data to monitor account performance and develop account specific business reviews and customer presentations
    • Monitor changing business and market trends, consumer shifts, conduct competitive reviews
    • Maximize the marketing spend and execution of customer specific marketing plans
    • Develop strategic planning, strategic engagement planning and pro-active management
    • Develop broker execution and capabilities
    • Build customer loyalty and expand brand
    • Analyze metrics to build insights to help customers grow
    • Build trust internally and externally with integrity and responsible actions

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Min 5-7 years related CPG work experience
    • Knowledge of market, products, sales approach
    • Understanding and experience developing existing customers and prospecting new customers in the retail sector
    • Extensive computer skills – Microsoft office suite, Neilson/IRI translation
    • Self-starter with strong personal discipline
    • commitment and accountability
    • Open to 40-50% travel
    • Valid driver’s license
