The Poconos VRO is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our not-for-profit trade association. Job Overview As the Business Development Manager, you will concentrate on growing membership, increasing brand awareness, and coordinating sales efforts to strengthen the visibility and impact of our association. Working closely with the Executive Director and volunteer board members, you will deliver outstanding member services, foster membership expansion, and play a key role in advancing PAVRO’s overall mission. • Hybrid role, mostly remote but has to be around Poconos area for occasional in-person reporting. Compensation • Base Salary: $52,000 - $56,000 • Paid Time Off Responsibilities: • Maintain and update the membership database by performing data entry, conducting data mining, and integrating new information. • Collect and compile reports from 80+ municipal governments on license holders, summarizing key data for member forums on the association website. • Drive membership growth by supporting newsletters, outreach efforts, and advocacy alerts through targeted campaigns and efficient data collection. • Monitor member listings on STR platforms to ensure accurate and up-to-date representation. • Collaborate with Affiliate Members (corporate sponsors) to align their offerings with the needs of the membership base. • Assist the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau by gathering tourist information and supporting research and publication initiatives. • Partner with key organizations and the Executive Director to develop advocacy alerts, conduct research, and enhance publicity efforts. • Manage association communications , including website updates, newsletters, email alerts, and social media content. • Coordinate volunteer involvement for HOA board meetings, township sessions, and engagements with elected officials. • Prepare supplies and materials for trade shows, conferences, and networking events, ensuring smooth operations and successful representation. Qualifications: • Education : Associate degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience. • Experience : 1+ years in lead generation or inside sales (preferred). • Skills : Proficient in basic technology and CRM systems. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with real estate or STR markets is a plus. (preferred) Compensation: $50,000 - $56,000
