The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for driving new business opportunities within an assigned territory or portfolio of prospects. This role focuses on remote sales development calls and engaging with marketing-qualified leads to set up qualified meetings for sales representatives, thereby generating a new pipeline for growth.

Responsibilities:
- Manage an assigned territory or portfolio of customers, focusing on remote sales development calls
- Collaborate closely with the field sales team to gain insights into customers' unique needs and identify potential sales opportunities
- Reach out to customers to promote new and existing products and services, offering special discounts and promotions
- Tailor product information to meet individual customer needs, actively supporting upselling initiatives
- Work diligently to achieve specified sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the sales team
- Build and maintain strong connections with customers
- Participate in sales efforts as part of a larger team, ensuring collaborative success
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field
- Prior business development experience in Human Capital Management (HCM) or SaaS is preferred, but not required
- Strong prospecting skills via email, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Salesforce.com, LinkedIn, and phone, coupled with strong presentation and sales skills for impactful technical presentations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the marketing team to leverage customer insights for strategic contributions
- Expertise in achieving sales targets in an inside sales environment
- Technical acumen for product demonstrations and effective communication of product value
- Strategic approach to sales, product specifications, and presentations to drive successful outcomes
- Proficiency in utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and presentation software
