Interco has an opening for a Business Development Representative in the Industrial Metals Trading Department at the company's Commercial Operations office on The Hill in St. Louis, Missouri. We are looking for someone who wants to be great and work for a great company.

Interco is seeking a motivated individual to take on the role of Business Development Representative. In this role, the Business Development Representative will be responsible for purchasing nonferrous metals, escrap, and EV batteries. The primary duties will include building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, as well as engaging in prospecting calls to identify new opportunities.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Procure nonferrous metals, e-scrap, and EV batteries through effective negotiation and relationship building
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and consistent sourcing
• Conduct cold calls to identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams to assess market trends and opportunities for growth
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Qualifications:

• Work experience in Sales, Customer Service, or other roles where organization and structure were key functions of the role
• College Degree

Interco has been recycling computers, batteries, metals, and electronics with a focused track record of innovation and integrity since 1996. The company specializes in the placement of smelter-ready materials catering to commercial, industrial, dealer, and government organizations nationwide.

The Interco recycling facilities are separated into three departments: nonferrous metals, computers and electronics, and battery processing. The nonferrous facility is located on the 40-acre main campus in Madison (IL) while the computers and electronics are processed in Edwardsville where the Administrative and some logistics offices are located. The commercial department is located on The Hill in St. Louis.
