    Our Market Development Representative- Hypersteel plays a key role in expanding market presence and driving growth for our light gauge steel building solutions across multiple sales channels. This individual will work closely with builders, dealers, distributors, architects, general contractors, and developers to support business development efforts, customer training, and overall market expansion.

    This role is ideal for someone with a strong sales mindset, excellent communication skills, and experience within the metal building, roofing, wall panel, or broader construction products industry. The right candidate will be comfortable building relationships, educating customers on products and technology solutions, and helping customers successfully bring projects to market.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop relationships with builders, dealers, distributors, architects, developers, general contractors, and other key industry partners to grow market share
    • Support multiple sales channels including direct retail, distribution, dealer networks, and turnkey building providers
    • Help customers understand the differences between channels and identify the right solutions based on their business model and project needs
    • Work across a brand-agnostic environment, supporting multiple product lines and routes to market
    • Support customers through the sales process, product education, onboarding, and ongoing account development
    • Train customers on technology platforms, systems, and product solutions
    • Help customers understand metal building systems, product applications, and installation processes
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities across various customer segments and markets
    • Collaborate with internal teams including customer service, operations, engineering, and sales leadership to support customer success
    • Assist customers with navigating systems, processes, project coordination, and product selection
    • Support business development initiatives focused on expanding adoption of light gauge steel building solutions
    • Provide a high level of customer service while helping resolve issues and appropriately manage customer expectations
    • Build credibility with customers through strong communication, product knowledge, responsiveness, and relationship management
  • Qualifications

    • Ability to work independently while staying closely aligned with your territory team.
    • Willingness to make calls, write personalized outreach, ask questions, and learn from feedback.
    • Prior experience in BDR/SDR, sales, recruiting, fundraising, customer service, hospitality, real estate, or another high-activity customer-facing role is a plus.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

    Great Experience Could Include

    • Outbound prospecting, cold calling, or sales development.
    • Recruiting, agency work, fundraising, alumni calling, door-to-door sales, real estate, automotive sales, or other roles requiring persistence and persuasion.
    • Experience owning metrics such as calls, emails, meetings booked, conversion rates, pipeline generated, quota attainment, or revenue impact.
    • Internships, campus leadership, athletics, volunteer work, or other examples of initiative, resilience, and commitment.

    The base salary for this role is $68,480 with a total on-target earnings (OTE) range of $84,000+ with opportunity to earn additional commissions. You'll also be part of our broader total rewards package — including benefits tailored to where you live and how you work best.
