    Position Overview:

    We are looking for a motivated business development representative to aid us in building robust pipelines for our sales associates through diligent calling and inside sales activities. The BDR will develop a comprehensive understanding of the RIS target market and complementing technologies, enabling meaningful conversations with retailers that result in booked appointments with our sales team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Work independently to identify, engage, and develop interest with new prospective retailers.

    · Conduct 50+ calls per day from marketing lists to gain interest in a meeting with a consultant.

    · Develop a baseline understanding of our technology stack, including OptCulture, Retail Pro, RFID, and our custom development capabilities.

    · Develop a multi-touchpoint outreach plan (calls, emails, white papers, video clips, webinar invites, social media avenues).

    · Learn to develop organic lead lists through internet searches.

    · Ability to use MS Office products and become proficient in our Microsoft CRM solution.

    · Experience in sales or retail is a plus.

    Qualifications:

    · Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    · Excellent organizational skills and professional persistence in follow-up activities.

    · Well-developed phone presence, friendly disposition, and high comfort level initiating conversations.

    · Self-starter willing to work independently yet team-focused.

    · Commitment to hunt daily for new business prospects and cultivate leads into qualified prospects

    · Retail background and/or knowledge with an understanding of retail automation solutions is preferred.

    Education:

    Proven experience will be weighed as important as formal education.

    Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, or Communications or equivalent education that demonstrates expertise in customer engagement is preferred
