Job Goal: To establish and nurture business partnerships that drive referral growth for in-home wound care services through effective sales strategies, calls, and presentations. Act as the primary agency representative to physicians, facilities, and community agencies. Oversee the development and referral growth within the assigned territory.
Essential Functions:
- Territory Development: Manage the overall development and referral growth within the assigned territory, including relationships with facilities, physicians, home care providers, and community agencies.
- Strategic Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate quarterly and annual territory plans to achieve growth goals and execute agreed-upon strategies and actions.
- Sales and Presentations: Build business relationships with providers by conducting effective sales calls and presentations to targeted referral sources.
- Knowledge Maintenance: Maintain professional and clinical knowledge of provider services. Serve as a liaison between referral partners and agencies to communicate information about new products, programs, and service delivery.
- Patient and Family Engagement: Meet with patients and families to discuss wound care services, address individual needs and concerns, and manage expectations as needed.
- Relationship Building: Foster relationships within the intake department and with patient care resources staff to ensure effective communication with referral sources and internal stakeholders.
- Data Management: Update and maintain customer and competitor profiles, log daily call activity, and document plans for follow-up activities with referral sources.
- Marketing Participation: Participate in marketing efforts to educate the healthcare community about wound care programs, including physician calls, lunch and learns, health fairs, speaker’s bureau, and CEU programs for healthcare providers.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly tracking reports on referral sources and keep the agency informed of key marketplace changes affecting providers and competitors.
- Teamwork: Emphasize the importance of teamwork, cooperate with colleagues, and provide and accept constructive feedback despite personal conflicts.
- Software Utilization: Use current agency and department-specific software to complete assignments.

- Proficiency in Microsoft programs for internal and external communications, presentations, database tracking/reporting, and spreadsheet applications.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in home care sales or a related industry with a proven record of achieving incremental growth in direct sales.
- Valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and valid automobile insurance.
