    SolMicroGrid (the “Company”) a Morgan Stanley Energy Partner is a developer and operator of microgrid systems for commercial and industrial customers throughout North America. The partnership with Morgan Stanley Energy Partners provides SolMicroGrid with resources to accelerate the development of its assets, capabilities, and product offerings to its commercial and industrial customers. MSEP’s partnership supports the initial deployment of SolMicroGrid’s solar-enabled microgrid systems to certain commercial and industrial customer locations nationwide. The microgrids will help protect those locations from power outages while providing cost-effective, renewable power.

    Job Summary:
    As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a crucial role in identifying and developing new business opportunities. Your primary responsibilities will involve generating leads, qualifying prospects, and setting up meetings for our sales team. You will be the first point of contact for potential customers, and your efforts will directly impact the success of our sales efforts and overall company growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead Generation: Research and identify potential clients through various channels including social media, online databases, and industry events.
    • Outreach: Conduct outbound calls and emails to prospective clients to introduce our products/services and establish initial contact.
    • Qualifying Leads: Engage prospects in meaningful conversations to assess their needs and qualify leads for the sales team.
    • Setting Appointments: Schedule meetings and demos for the sales team with qualified leads.
    • CRM Management: Maintain and update lead information and sales activities in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
    • Collaborate with Sales Team: Work closely with sales account executives to ensure a smooth transition of leads and provide them with relevant information gathered during initial contact.
    • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor landscape to identify new opportunities and improve outreach strategies.
    • Reporting: Track and report on key performance metrics, such as call volume, conversion rates, and lead quality.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 1-2 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or business development.
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with a persuasive and engaging approach.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A passion for sales and a drive to succeed.
