    Job Title : Business Development Representative

    Reports To : CRO

    FLSA Status : Exempt

    Job Overview : The Business Development Representative serves as a crucial link between the marketing and sales teams, focusing on the acquisition of new managed services clients and driving monthly recurring revenue (MRR). Under the guidance of the Founder/Director of Sales and the CRO, the SE will identify, qualify, and cultivate relationships with potential clients, leveraging various tools and strategies to secure qualified meetings and close new business deals.

    Essential Functions

    • Identify and qualify new leads using databases, internet research, and industry tools.
    • Cold call, email, and utilize social media to reach out to potential clients.
    • Document and track all leads, contacts, opportunities, and activity history in CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Apollo).
    • Understand client needs, assess their IT infrastructure, and propose solutions that align with their challenges.
    • Follow up on inbound leads and proactively make outbound calls to drive new business.
    • Prepare proposals, develop pricing strategies, and conduct presentations to move prospects through the sales funnel.
    • Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with clients through effective communication and rapport-building.
    • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop and conduct proactive outbound calling strategies targeting key decision-makers.
    • Achieve quotas for net new clients to grow MRR.
    • Attend networking events, conferences, and trade shows to build relationships and create new business opportunities.
    • Provide feedback and recommendations on marketing efforts based on real client interactions.
    • Collaborate with other team members to ensure overall company success.

    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, vendors, and management.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, including new technology and web resources.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    • Experience in an inside sales role, particularly in IT consulting or managed services.
    • Proficiency with CRM systems like HubSpot and Apollo.
    • Comfortable and experienced with cold calling and consultative selling.
    • Strong understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
    • Competitive and self-motivated, with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
    • Exceptional written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening.
    • Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Exceptional customer service orientation and ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
    • Impressive presentation and negotiating skills.
    • Ability to travel locally to customer meetings or corporate events as required.

    Physical Requirements

    • Hearing : Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.
    • Speaking : Must be able to communicate clearly with clients in person and over the telephone.
    • Vision : Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
    • Other : Requires occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 10 pounds unassisted. Requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements (specifically keyboarding and writing), standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
