    • Our client, a leader in Environmental Construction is searching for a Business Development Specialist to join their onsite team in Milltown, NJ.
    • The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for managing customer relationships and driving sales initiatives to support business growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability, strong sales skills, and the ability to build relationships with clients who are looking for green solutions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the environmental sector.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, businesses, and stakeholders interested in eco-friendly solutions.
    • Conduct outreach efforts, cold calls, and networking to generate leads.
    • Educate potential customers on the benefits of sustainable products, environmental services, or compliance solutions.
    • Assess client needs and recommend customized solutions based on sustainability goals.
    • Provide product demonstrations, sales presentations, and proposals.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, environmental regulations, and green technologies.
    • Monitor competitor activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales materials, campaigns, and outreach programs.
    • Use CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track leads, sales, and client interactions.
    • Work in tandem with the Salesforce Marketing Specialist on outreach and customer management (dual/hybrid role)
    • Ensure excellent customer service and follow-up to maintain long-term partnerships.
    • Gather customer feedback to improve products and services.
    • Travel to customer sites 25% during the week. Will report to Milltown office when not on the road.

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years in sales, business development, or environmental consulting
    • Understanding of environmental products, sustainability practices, or regulatory compliance
    • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing abilities
    • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and digital sales tools
    • Marketing background is a plus
    • Must be open to customer travel around 25% of the week

    Compensation:

    • Base salary up to 100k/year, plus commission
