    Summary

    MIM International has been an Import-Export-Distribution company in the industrial PVF field since 1991. We are actively seeking a bilingual (English Spanish) Business Development Specialist. This role will be responsible for creating and maintaining the customer base and increasing profitability for the company in the Texas Gulf Coast Region, specifically Texas and select parts of Louisiana.

    The candidate will be responsible for the finding of new business opportunities and developing strategies to grow a company's business with a high focus on industrial valves. Fittings, pipe and other products will be also managed as a complementary product line. The BD Representative must have proven knowledge of our target product line and industrial customers in the region.

    Work assignments will be given by the Area Manager for the specific requirements to perform the functions detailed below. This position requires a dependable person capable of multi-tasking with attention to detail. The candidate needs to have initiative and the ability to prioritize responsibilities with time sensitive deadlines, plus possess highly effective organization and coordination skills.

    Understanding the industry, market, and customer needs is essential in this position. Additionally, creativity, innovation, problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and the ability to build and maintain rapport with diverse stakeholders are all key qualities. Finally, having a willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing environments is necessary.

    Roles and responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

    Developing a deep understanding of the Gulf Coast industrial markets.

    Researching and analyzing potential to identify business opportunities. Analyze market trends and business processes.

    Reaching out to potential customers through various channels, such as email, phone, social media, field visits, industry events and making sales pitches.

    Creating and executing business development strategies and plans. Create marketing and sales plans to grow the business

    Determining which leads is most likely to convert to sales.

    Helping new clients get started with the company.

    · Support (and lead) sourcing and developing business opportunities in projects with CAPEX, OPEX and MRO expenditure.

    Developing and maintaining relationships with prospects and partners.

    · Negotiating and closing deals.

    Providing feedback and support to the company team. Provide senior management with regular reports and analysis

    Educate clients on how products or services can help them.

    · Responsible for qualifying and prioritizing leads based on their needs and fit, presenting the value proposition of the company's products or services, negotiating contracts and agreements, collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction, tracking performance of the business development activities, and evaluating and improving the business development processes and best practices.

    Check in with clients regularly to share information and answer questions.

    Resolves issues that might arise relating to revenue billing; bids nominations and scheduling; credit; operations; rates, certificates and other commercial issues.

    Some duties may be removed at any time and new duties may be added as MIM International continues to grow.

    Work environment:

    · The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally occurs in an office space. Some of the work may eventually be required in the warehouse which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel, including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.

    Education, experience, and qualifications.

    A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is necessary.

    5+ years minimum relevant work experience in a PVF or similar industry. Knowledge of technical details in valves, fittings and piping is preferred while Valve general knowledge is mandatory.

    Knowledge of customer sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, qualifying and liaising with customers) while using various tools and marketing platforms such CRM email, social media and analytics is also a plus.

    Understanding of common business practices relating to negotiating pricing and terms, sales and payment for products and services.

    Knowledgeable in Industry standards, Legal, Engineering, System Planning, Project Development, Marketing, Contracts, Commercial Operations and Field Operations.

    Capable of reading technical catalogs and specs sheets related to PVF material.

    The position requires good client service skills to deal with the customer base requirements, maintaining cordial working relationships with other company stakeholders and support management.

    Proficient in MS Office 365 suite. SharePoint and Excel skills are mandatory. Hands on experience in ERP system is a Plus.

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong written, verbal communication, as well as effective presentation skills are required.

    Organizational and leadership abilities.

    Ability to follow directions and work well in a multiple location/countries team.

    Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

    Texas Driving License and Reliable transportation is required.

    Bilingual English Spanish Language is mandatory.
