Position Summary:
The Business Development/Treasury Management Officer is responsible for driving the growth of the bank's commercial deposit portfolio and enhancing treasury management services. This role involves identifying and acquiring new commercial clients, building, and maintaining strong client relationships, and promoting a range of treasury management products and services. The officer will develop and implement strategies to increase deposits, achieve sales targets, and provide exceptional client support. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the banking industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and target potential commercial clients through networking, referrals, and direct outreach.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored banking solutions.
Develop and implement strategies to increase commercial deposits, including cross-selling banking products and services.
Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets for new deposits and client acquisition.
Work closely with internal teams, including Relationship Managers, Treasury Management, and Marketing, to ensure a seamless client experience.
Have expertise in Prevail Bank’s business electronic product offerings, including features, benefits, and how to effectively promote and sell.
Serve as lead facilitator of questions from Bank staff on all business online products
Work independently and with commercial lenders consistently to meet with current commercial customers and prospects at their place of business to cross-sell electronic products and other treasury management products to enhance their banking experience.
Work closely with all other employees to increase the bank’s percentage of customers using the business electronic products offered by the bank.
Set up and train new Business Online customers and ensure the execution of all necessary agreements.
Conduct and/or coordinate required annual site visits, audits, or reviews of commercial customers
Keeps abreast of ACH rules and regulations and procedural changes and communicates changes to supervisor and Bank staff
Follow procedures and policies that ensure compliance with not only Bank policies and procedures but also all applicable federal and state banking regulatory agency policies.
Perform other duties as required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or similarly related area. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or banking is preferred.

Maintain a high level of confidentiality and privacy. Employees are required to observe the strictest confidentiality regarding any customer or bank information they become privileged to during their employment and to maintain this confidentiality after their employment ceases.
Excellent problem-prevention and problem-solving skills; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and implement solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate thoughts clearly, both orally and written.
Excellent organizational skills
Attention to detail, goal-oriented, ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and ability to prioritize.
Ability to effectively manage one’s time to complete work according to established deadlines. The ability to prioritize tasks to make the best use of time for high-priority tasks.
Proficient computer skills: programs including, but not limited to MS Office, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
Working Conditions: The position has a minimum work week of 40 hours, with requirements of Monday-Friday.
Travel: Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle to attend site visits, prospect calls, and other travel, as necessary.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged sitting and frequent mental and visual concentration.
Mental demands include the ability to work well under pressure, demonstrate flexibility, and be adaptable. Must be able to work under stress and handle difficult situations.
This position requires the ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and conduct information research and problem resolution.
