Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager, the Business Intelligence Analyst ensures that all business data is accurately collected, analyzed, and transformed into actionable insights. You will develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support strategic decision-making. Additionally, you will enhance system integration to ensure seamless connectivity across business platforms.
Responsibilities
What you’ll do...
- Report Generation: Create standard and custom reports summarizing business, financial, and economic data for executives, managers, clients and other stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Actively seek out and drive process improvement, automation, and cost reduction initiatives wherever possible.
- Financial & Business Modeling: Develop, analyze, and maintain financial and business models to support decision-making. Assist in corporate budgeting processes and prepare budget cost calculations.
- Business Intelligence Development: Design and manage business intelligence tools, databases, spreadsheets, or outputs.
- Data Flow Management: Ensure timely and accurate distribution of business intelligence information to users.
- Tool & System Maintenance: Update and enhance business intelligence tools, databases, systems. or methods for accuracy and efficiency.
- Technical Support: Provide assistance for existing reports, dashboards, and other business intelligence tools.
- Testing & Validation: Conduct and coordinate tests to ensure intelligence aligns with business needs and standards.
- Training: Upskill associates on database structures, software applications, and analysis techniques.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain a library of model documents, templets, and reusable assets.
- Documentation: Document specifications for business intelligence reports, dashboards, and outputs.
- Compliance: Must maintain professional integrity, strict confidentiality to any company information that is not common knowledge to all employees or third parties.
**Note – This is a full-time, in-person role, standard work hours 8am – 5pm.
Qualifications
You’ll have…
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Math, Statistics, Business, or another related field.
- Excel expertise (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data visualization).
- Strong analysis capabilities, must be able to analyze, create and develop various financial and business models.
- Ability to perform ad-hoc report writing.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as invoices, accounting literature and procedure manuals.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Data Modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), and BI tools (Power BI Tableau).
Even better, you may have…
- 3 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Python, R, and IBM Cognos Analytics.
- Ability to communicate in a multi-cultural environment and to non-technical groups.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
