General Summary
Performs duties under direct to moderate supervision in a particular core competency or business function of the organization that aligns with the intern’s chosen field of study.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
- Assists with a wide range of duties in the field *
- Assists with creation and analysis of routine projects, programs, policies and procedures *
- Performs assigned intern projects and follows them to completion *
- Supports more experienced personnel *
- Collects business intelligence data from databases, web-based sources and tools, industry reports, public information, and/or internal sources. *****
- Researches and analyzes data regarding industry and market trends, competitors, business opportunities, customers, pricing, and talent landscape to provide support to business operations *****
- Translates data into valuable insights for operational decision-making and strategic planning *****
- Assists in preparing reports, dashboards and graphic illustrations of findings *****
- May collaborate with functional areas to develop

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration or related field of study
- Must be willing and able to relocate to Huntsville, AL at his/her own expense for duration of internship
- Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs
- Ability to conduct analysis and document findings
- Proficiency with desktop applications and search tools
- US citizenship required. Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check prior to start date
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of business intelligence platforms (PowerBi, Tableau, etc.) preferred
- Good communication skills and problem-solving ability
- Prior related experience through work experience or academic projects
