    Job Summary: The Medical Business Office Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the medical office business functions. This includes managing administrative staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and optimizing revenue cycle processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care through efficient office management.

    Required Skills

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Staff Management: * Supervise and train administrative staff, including but not limited to, insurance verification specialists and billing specialists. * Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities. * Schedule staff shifts and manage attendance.
    2. Revenue Cycle Management: * Oversee billing, coding, and collections processes to ensure timely reimbursement. * Monitor accounts receivable and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances. * Work with insurance companies to resolve claim issues and denials.
    3. Compliance and Quality Assurance: * Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. * Develop and implement office policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency. * Conduct regular audits to assess adherence to established protocols.
    4. Patient Relations: * Address patient inquiries and resolve issues related to billing and scheduling. * Foster a positive patient experience by ensuring staff are trained in customer service excellence.
    5. Reporting and Analysis: * Prepare and present reports on office performance, financial metrics, and patient satisfaction. * Analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvements to operations.
    6. Collaboration: * Work closely with healthcare providers and administrative teams to ensure seamless operations. * Participate in meetings and collaborate on strategic planning initiatives.

    Required Experience

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical office setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
    • Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding, and insurance processes.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and practice management software.
