Location: Candidates must be in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, or Virginia
Remote: Yes, but with occasional travel to Columbus, OH and Merrillville, IN, approximately once a month.
Period: 01/6/2025 – 3/31/2026 (with strong likelihood of extension through end of year)
Hours/Week: 40 hours
Rate: $85 – $100/hour based on experience
Contract Type: W-2 only, no visa sponsorships or subcontracting
Scope of Services:
The Business Process Improvement / Change Management Consultant will be responsible for optimizing the Real Estate Services function, focusing on the integration of people, processes, and technology. The consultant will play a key role in driving transformation, supporting business process improvement initiatives, and enhancing facilities management operations. This role will also include designing organization structures, documenting critical processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have expertise in business process improvement, change management, and a strong understanding of how to develop and execute strategies for people, process, and technology alignment.
Role, Responsibilities & Deliverables:
• Real Estate Services Strategy: Guide the real estate services function by driving process improvements, enhancing facilities management practices, and supporting business transformation initiatives.
• Process Improvement: I dentify and implement business process improvements, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals. Focus on optimizing workflows, eliminating inefficiencies, and implementing best practices in real estate services.
• Facilities Management: Streamline and enhance facilities management operations, supporting the development of efficient processes for property management, maintenance, and related services.
• People and Process Transformation: Lead change management initiatives by working with teams to develop and implement strategies for improving people, processes, and technology integration in real estate services.
• Business Process Mapping: Collaborate with stakeholders to map existing business processes, define roles and responsibilities, and develop clear, actionable procedures that support the organization’s goals.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams, including operations, finance, and IT, to align strategies and processes that support overall business objectives.
• Training and Development: Develop and execute training programs to ensure employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to implement and sustain improvements in real estate services.
**• Reporting & Documentation: **Maintain accurate documentation on project progress, milestones, and outcomes. Prepare reports and presentations for leadership to ensure transparency and alignment on progress.
• Team Building and Leadership Development: Plan and conduct team-building activities, leadership training, and team development initiatives to reinforce culture and core value behaviors.
• Organizational Transition: Support the transition to a consistent delivery model, moving away from CDC service providers, and aligning business processes with guiding principles.
• Performance Metrics and Monitoring: Develop and implement a balanced scorecard approach for tracking performance across financial, customer, internal business processes, employee learning, and growth.
• Customer Satisfaction: Develop and conduct customer satisfaction surveys to assess service quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Business Process Improvement: Demonstrated experience in process mapping, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing process improvements to optimize operations. Examples will be required.
• Change Management: Proven experience in leading people and process transformation efforts, ensuring successful implementation of new processes and systems.
• Consultative Skills: Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across various functions to understand business needs and develop solutions aligned with strategic goals.
• Technology Integration: Experience with integrating people, processes, and technology to enhance operational performance.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Project Management: Proven experience managing projects with cross-functional teams, delivering results on time and within scope.
• Leadership and Organizational Skills: Ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive change, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience in Real Estate: Experience in real estate services is a plus but not required.
Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Real Estate, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Relevant certifications in real estate services, facilities management, or change management (e.g., LEED, Six Sigma, PMP) are a plus.
