    Location: Candidates should be in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, or Virginia
    Remote: Yes, but with travel to Merrillville, IN approximately once a week.
    Period: 04/21/2025 – 3/31/2026 (with strong likelihood of extension through end of year)
    Hours/Week: 40 hours
    Rate: $85 – $100/hour based on experience
    Contract Type: W-2 only, no visa sponsorships or subcontracting

    Scope of Services:

    The Business Process Improvement / Change Management Consultant will support the Real Estate Services function in a Chief of Staff-style role, driving structure, consistency, and improvement across people, processes, and technology. This position plays a key role in facilitating transformation initiatives and supporting leadership with operational planning, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional execution.

    The consultant will be tasked with strengthening coordination between teams—including labor relations, environmental sustainability, and facilities—and formalizing the tools, templates, and frameworks used to manage priorities and measure progress. They will also help lead internal preparations for union workforce engagement.

    Role, Responsibilities & Deliverables:

    • Strategic Operational Support * Serve as an extension of leadership to organize and drive forward work across multiple workstreams * Support the development of internal tools, governance cadences, and planning frameworks
    • Process Improvement & Transformation * Identify inefficiencies and map current vs. future state workflows * Lead and implement improvements aligned with business goals
    • Environmental Collaboration Framework * Create and maintain a structured approach for coordinating with the environmental and sustainability teams, including content expectations, cadence, and document templates
    • Labor Relations Readiness * Coordinate the internal operational readiness strategy for upcoming union engagement sessions, including deliverables, meeting prep, and stakeholder communication
    • Lease Management Tracking * Develop and maintain a centralized checklist for lease obligations, milestones, and responsibilities
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration * Align efforts across real estate, environmental, labor, and corporate stakeholders * Facilitate team meetings, ensure alignment on priorities, and communicate updates
    • Reporting & Documentation * Own executive-level reporting, dashboards, and status briefings on key initiatives
    • People, Process, and Technology Alignment * Drive adoption of new operating models by aligning teams and systems

    Required Skills and Experience:**

    • Proven experience in business process improvement, transformation, or internal consulting roles
    • Strong ability to structure work, organize deliverables, and support multiple executive stakeholders
    • Familiarity with labor relations environments and working with unionized teams
    • Experience building and implementing team operating models, frameworks, and checklists
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive briefings
    • Experience coordinating across functions including environmental, HR, legal, and operations
    • Project management experience and comfort working in ambiguity
    • Real estate services experience is helpful, but not required

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Real Estate, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
    • Relevant certifications in real estate services, facilities management, or change management (e.g., LEED, Six Sigma, PMP) are a plus
