    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    Job Placement & Business Engagement:

    • Conduct thorough searches for suitable job openings, aligning client qualifications with employer requirements.
    • Develop a wide variety of job opportunities for candidates while maintaining an updated listing of local job openings.
    • Establish and nurture relationships with employers to understand their workforce needs and promote available services.
    • Assist employers in the recruitment process, including interviewing and hiring qualified applicants. Follow up with employers to determine satisfaction with services and plan for quality improvement.
    • Maintain active contact with local businesses and keep project staff informed of job placement opportunities.
    • Arranges for employers to speak to candidates about employment and employer expectations.
    • Set up job fairs and employer hiring events.

    Instruction & Training:

    • Provide classroom instruction in computer literacy, job search techniques, life skills, money management, and job retention strategies.
    • Assist program participants in learning basic math, reading, writing skills, vocabulary, and grammar; and to prepare for GED test
    • Develop and prepare training materials, lesson plans, and individual participant assessments to track progress.
    • Conduct job readiness and job search workshops to motivate participants and equip them with the skills necessary to secure employment.
    • Use group participation activities to build self-esteem and enhance motivation among participants.

    Counseling & Support:

    • Offer individual tutoring and counseling related to vocational exploration, goal setting, and behavioral problem-solving.
    • Collaborate with case management staff to facilitate job search and placement while maximizing client retention.
    • Administer and interpret aptitude and proficiency tests according to prescribed procedures.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Conduct needs assessments through formal and informal evaluations to identify areas for improvement in services.
    • Engage with community and business leaders to increase awareness of workforce services and ensure responsiveness to local needs.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent work experience in business-to-business sales, marketing, customer service, staffing, or recruiting.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.

    • Familiarity with local communities, understanding their needs and resources.

    • Demonstrated experience in teaching, training, or counseling, with the ability to create engaging instructional materials.

    • Experience in customer service and an understanding of labor market trends.

    • Bilingual candidates preferred.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
