Business Systems Analyst – ClaimCenter
Location: Remote
The Business Systems Analyst – ClaimCenter gathers and analyzes functional and technical information to help deliver information technology solutions, as a bridge between people, process, and technology. Candidates must have the following:
- Recent working experience in Commercial Lines -understand the processes and terminology of CA, WC, BOP, and CL for CL Policy.
- Recent working experience with Personal Lines - understanding the process and terminology of Personal Auto, Homeowners, Personal Umbrella for PL Policy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- System analysis and business analysis related to Guidewire ClaimCenter P&C software.
- System integration, configuration, data mapping, development, and support.
- EDI, IAIABC, and Workers Compensation Reporting integration analysis.
- InsurPay (Invenger Technologies) payment software integration analysis.
- Involved with system testing, data validation, defect triage, and workarounds.
- Collaborates with IT, QA, and users, to clarify systems capabilities and resolve issues.
- Provides expertise, direction, and documentation to internal and external teams.
- Analyzes and documents business needs, and translates them into technical requirements.
- Participates in Agile/Scrum process including stand ups, sprint planning, backlog, etc.
- Involved with project estimates, planning, scheduling, and tracking as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- 4+ years as Business Analyst/Systems Analyst with DW/ETL/SQL knowledge.
- Recent hands-on experience with Policy Center screen and rating flows, underwriting issues and validations – preferably using Guidewire v.10 (preferred Guidewire version 10.1.2)
- Working knowledge of common third party integrations: MVR, Loss History, Insurance Scoring, etc.
- P&C Insurance Industry required. Agile/Scrum, Rally, Jira, and/or Visio preferred.
- Technical Requirement gathering experience
- Experience with Data Mapping, Data Modeling, Data Warehouse, Databases, Data Migration, ETL, BI, and MS SQL Server. Dashboards & Visualization preferred.
- SQL query experience. SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, & BusinessObjects exposure preferred.
- Guidewire Data Hub, PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter exposure preferredGuidewire system integration, configuration, data mapping, development, testing, and support.
- Workers Compensation State reporting and Personal Lines product models knowledge preferred.
- EDI and IAIABC (International Association of Industrial Accident Boards) knowledge preferred.
- InsurPay (Invenger Technologies) or other payment software integration knowledge preferred.
- OnBase (Hyland Software) enterprise content management (ECM) experience a plus.
- Guidewire Certification & Agile/Scrum experience preferred.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Hands-on experience in Property & Casualty Insurance, Personal lines of business (LOBs) preferred.
- Experience with software development & implementation projects, QA testing & support.
- Guidewire Certification is preferred. Personal Auto & Homeowners experience preferred.
