The McDonald’s Global Product Engineering Team is responsible for driving digital innovation inside and outside of our restaurants. We identify the most meaningful opportunities for our customers and our business, and we bring them to life through industry-changing products like Mobile Ordering and McDelivery.

    The Business Technical Analyst position is essential for managing the day-to-day activities and requests sent to the U.S. Global Mobile App team. The Business Technical Analyst will ensure the following for our GMA Platform:

    • App Functionality : Verify that the app is functioning as designed.
    • Process Adherence : Ensure that team processes are consistently followed.
    • Testing Oversight : Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve issues.
    • Platform Stability : Maintain the stability of the platform.
    • Enhance Engagement : on the Consumer Platform

    The Business Technical Analyst is responsible for providing initial triage to defects found in our Mobile App and assessing their business impact to aid in prioritization. Key responsibilities include:

    • Defect Triage : Conduct initial assessments of defects to determine severity and business impact.
    • Dashboard Creation : Develop dynamic, accurate, and meaningful dashboards and reports from multiple data sources.
    • Data Analysis : Extract, analyze, and manipulate data from production databases to generate ad hoc reports.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with Product Owners and collaborate across teams to evaluate, measure, and communicate the business value of upcoming features and enhancements.

    Responsibilities

    • Dashboard and Report Management : Create and manage dashboards and reports related to business data.
    • Coordination with Partners : Collaborate with external and internal partners on Global Mobile App initiatives, including backlog refinement, grooming, prioritization, and maintenance.
    • Cross-Functional Partnership : Work closely with U.S. Product Owners, leadership, marketing, operations, legal, analytics, engineering, and design teams to refine requirements in the form of epics, stories, and incident reports.
    • Business-Technology Bridge : Act as a liaison between business customers and technology solution providers.
    • Process Documentation : Thoroughly understand and document business processes within Confluence.
    • Data Analysis : Analyze customer insights, data, and competitive analyses to identify problems and opportunities.
    • User Testing Support : Assist with user testing before and after each app release.
    • Effective Communication Management : Manage communications effectively with collaborators and other cross-functional teams.

    The expected salary range for this role is $87,050 _ _ $108,810 per year

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of experience translating customer needs into product features.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
    • Extensive experience with JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Self-starter with a strong bias for action.
    • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and projects while providing status updates as needed.
    • Experience collaborating with a diverse set of internal partners to get results.
    • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
    • Customer-centric approach with a passion for delivering exceptional digital experiences.
    • Familiarity with mobile/web apps and digital products is preferred.

    Preferred experience:

    • Database: SQL, DB Management
    • Monitoring: New Relic, Kibana, Adobe Analytics, or Graphana
    • Data Visualization: Tableau and PowerBI
