Position: Busser/Food Runner/Food Expeditor
Compensation: $17/hr base plus tips estimated at $14-$19/hr.
What we’re looking for:
Clear and Reset Tables Efficiently:
Clear tables promptly, removing used dishes, utensils, and glassware.
Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and dining area furniture after guests depart.
Reset tables with clean linens, napkins, and utensils in preparation for new guests.
Pay attention to detail to ensure tables are properly set according to restaurant standards.
Assist Servers in Delivering Food and Beverages:
Collaborate with servers to deliver food and beverages to tables, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Communicate with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate the timing of food and drink orders.
Assist in carrying trays or heavy items to ensure safe and efficient service.
Refill Water Glasses and Respond to Guest Requests:
Monitor and maintain water levels in guests' glasses, refilling as needed.
Provide additional utensils, condiments, or other items requested by guests promptly.
Respond courteously to guest requests, ensuring their satisfaction and comfort.
Maintain Cleanliness and Organization of Service Stations:
Keep service stations clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Dispose of trash and recycling in designated receptacles, following proper waste management procedures.
Clean and maintain service station equipment, such as coffee machines and beverage dispensers.
Work Closely with the Server Team:
Communicate effectively with servers to anticipate their needs and support their workflow.
Assist in maintaining a steady flow of cleared tables to accommodate new guests.
Collaborate with servers to address any guest inquiries or special requests.
Maintain a Clean and Organized Dining Area:
Continuously monitor the dining area to identify and clear empty tables in a timely manner.
Remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly to maintain a clean and inviting atmosphere.
Reset tables efficiently, following the restaurant's standard setup guidelines.
Collaborate with Team Members:
Foster effective communication and teamwork with colleagues for cohesive service.
Assist other bussers or servers during busy periods or special events.
Share updates about the dining area status, table availability, or guest preferences with the team.
Support the Team with Additional Tasks:
Help restock supplies, such as napkins and utensils, to ensure availability for guests.
Assist with general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, or wiping down surfaces as needed.
Communicate any maintenance or repair needs to appropriate staff members for prompt resolution.
