Position Summary:
The busser is an important position that contributes to the overall guest experience and success of the restaurant. The busser is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of tables throughout service, assisting food servers and other team members, clearing and resetting tables, maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant and providing great customer service.
Knowledge and Abilities:
General restaurant operations.
Ability to set and remove tableware while guest(s) are dining.
Ability to carry glassware on a tray and multiple plates by hand.
Ability to multi-task, work in a team environment and handle stressful situations.
Ability to anticipate guest needs.
Ability to prioritize job duties.
Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
Knowledge of Hualapai tourism offerings, Hualapai history and culture.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Be knowledgeable about all menu items.
Cleaning, polishing, and silverware set up.
Stocking and restocking server station.
Maintain cleanliness of table with attention to detail.
Constant communication with food servers and other team members.
Maintain running side work duties.
Identify guest needs or issues and address or include a manager.
Clear and reset tables.
Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant before, during and after service.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least 6 months of previous experience and 19 years of age. High volume/upscale dining preferred.
Excellent customer service and oral communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn and receptive to constructive feedback.
Legal working age.
Current Food Handlers card.
Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
Working Conditions:
High volume, fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant environment. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to work varying schedules, weekends and holidays.
