    SUMMARY:

    Under the direction of the F & B Supervisor, is responsible to assist servers and bartenders with table service and ensuring guests experience outstanding customer service.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

    Essential functions as defined are ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed by incumbents within this classification. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Carries trays from food counters to tables for cafeteria patrons
    • Carries dirty dishes to kitchen
    • Wipes tables and seats with dampened cloth
    • Sets tables with clean linens, sugar bowls, and condiments
    • Wraps clean silverware in napkins
    • Clears and resets counters or tables at conclusion of each course
    • Perform other duties as appropriate and directed by supervisor/manager

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and/or skill required.

    Education and Experience:

    • Minimum of six months of food and beverage experience preferred
    • Prior experience in customer service preferred
    • Correct use of business English language
    • Customer service principles and practices

    Required Knowledge and Skills

    Knowledge of:

    • Applicable laws, codes and regulations

    Skill in:

    • Using initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines.
    • Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives and activities
    • Dealing successfully with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds
    • Multitasking while paying attention to detail and completing tasks in a timely manner
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Safe work practices and sanitation related to food preparation and service
