    LOCATION: Hutto, TX

    CONTEXT: We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician that specializes in electronic security systems, including video surveillance, access control and intrusion detection systems.  The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security technologies, be proficient in AutoCAD software, and possess excellent attention to detail.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Create detailed and accurate blueprints and schematics for electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
    • Collaborate with other departments to understand project requirements, specifications, and technical needs.
    • Utilize CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) to produce designs that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Modify existing designs based on feedback and changes in project scope.
    • Ensure all designs are created in compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
    • Maintain organized project files and documentation for all designs, ensuring they are easily accessible for team members.
    • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and technical documentation.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in electronic security technology to apply innovations in designs.
    • Determine procedures and instructions to be followed according to design specifications and quantity of required materials.
    • Maintain active communication with engineers, contractors, project managers, and government agencies for any project-related issues or approvals.
    • Other relative duties as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 2-4 years of experience drafting blueprints and schematics of security systems (video surveillance, access control and/or intrusion detection systems).
    • Proficiency and prior experience using AutoCAD.
    • Current and valid US driver’s license.
    • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
